UPDATED 4/27/13, 4:20pm EDT The USS Rankin Association's Tenth Annual Reunion will be held in San Antonio, Texas, from October 10-13, 2013. The USS Muliphen (AKA-61) will be joining us again this year. As happened in Charleston, we will have separate hospitality rooms, business meetings, etc., but will join together for meals and tours. San Antonio is the seventh most populous city in the United States, and is the fastest growing of the top 10 largest cities in the country. It is the most visited city in Texas, receiving about 26 million tourists every year. It is famous for Spanish missions, the River Walk, unique Tex-Mex culture, The Alamo, and the Tower of the Americas, (all shown above), as well as the four-time NBA champion San Antonio Spurs and the annual San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.   San Antonio hosts dozens of military reunions every year, and has a strong military presence—it is home to Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, Randolph Air Force Base, and Brooks City-Base, with Camp Bullis and Camp Stanley outside the city.
